Pork Steak with Japanese-Style Sauce

Preparation

  1. Make small cuts along the fat edge to prevent curling.
  2. Pan-fry caribeton pork over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove the pork and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic, soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar.
  5. Simmer briefly, then add a small amount of butter.
  6. Return the pork to the pan and coat it with the sauce.
  7. Serve with cabbage or steamed rice
